Perhaps this will be some news to you of which you may or may not believe. But, a lot thing can be put into a small space.
If you would just learn how to have patience, knowing the right way to fold clothes and towels, can free space for other things.
Quite a few travelers end up carrying quite a bit of stuff with them on holiday/vacation. "You never know what sort of place or situation you may run in to."
"When preparing to travel, lay out all your clothes and all your money. Then take half the clothes and twice the money."
Here is the packing list for most trips. We find all these items essential, but it's up to you to decide whether your need it or not. Leave 30% empty space in your bag when you leave.
Otherwise, you may need another bag on the way back.
If you plan to go hiking and/or employing a public transport, you will wish to leave many of your belongings back at home.
However, if you intend on being somewhere for a long period of time, then you might want to bring a few additional items along.

and Credit card number and other useful numbers, keep separately from the original documents of course.) 1 flashlight (torch), 1 belt + wallet,
1 lighter, 2 candles, a travel alarm clock, 1 long-sleeved shirt, 1 raincoat, 1 pair of sandals, Reading Material , Guidebooks, Sewing Kit,
Cup, Can Opener, Two pairs of shoes, one for walking and one for dressier occasion, Never bring new shoes, Pair of jeans, Pair of nicer
pants, can be used to dress up, Skirt or dress for the theater or dinner, Shirt worn with trousers or khakis, flannel shirt, windbreaker
or sweatshirt, Toiletries and cosmetics, Kleenex, Travel umbrella, Medicines: aspirin, Alka-Seltzer, band-aids, disinfectant.
