Will I be required to buy or have a membership?
The Hosteltimes does not require any membership fees. Some of the hostels listed on the Hosteltimes website offer various card-holders' discounts. All of the hostels listed on the website will allow you to stay without a membership.
Why should I register (Sign up) and Log In?
When you need to make a reservation and/or write your message, to utilize all of the services provide by the Hosteltimes you must log in. This is done to maintain security for you and the users of the Hosteltimes.com website.
How much does it cost to book online?
A booking fee, of $2, applies to each booking. A 10% deposit for hostels or 15% deposit for tour packages is required based on the price listed on the service providers listed microsite. This deposit will be subtracted from the full amount of room rates upon payment at hostel. But there is one exception. When you make a reservation for a tour package, you will see the detailed explanation about when your full amount of balance for tour package will be charged on your credit card.
Do I have to use a credit card to book online?
You will have to use your credit card, or ATM debit card to make an online reservation with the Hosteltimes.

What will happen if I need to cancel, or change my reservations?
Our policy is that you can cancel your reservation any time you need to. The Hosteltimes does not issue refunds under any circumstances. Refunds regarding Hostel's and Tour Companies are based on their cancellation policy. Contact the Hostel or Tour Company you made your booking with to review the cost for cancellations. In general, Hostels or Tour Companys' have flexible cancellation policies so you can make a cancellation at easy. If you need to change your reservation then, you can directly contact the Hostel or Tour Company.
What currency are the prices based on?
Hosteltimes uses only USD dollars for prices, in order to avoid any confusion regarding the changing of services, or varying conversion rates. However, hostel owners can ask customers to pay with their own currency.
Does the Hosteltimes provide discounts?
The Hosteltimes does not issue any discounts. Discounts are offered at a variety of hostels, all prices are based on non-cardholder rates. Any Discounts must be redeemed upon arrival at your hostel.
Reservations how early should I book my Hostel/Tour?
You can make a reservation anytime you like, although we suggest that you book in advance to make sure the hostel/tour company has a space for you. No exceptions are allotted in order to avoid any confusion, misunderstandings or problems.
Is my booking guaranteed?
Every online booking is guaranteed. The confirmation number given to you for each booking will guarantee your space upon arrival. Your reservation number will be e- mailed to you. Remember to print your confirmation and bring it with you to the hostel/hotel/B&B or tour for a speedy check-In. If you do not have access to a printer, please make a note of your confirmation number.
Do I need to bring my own bed linen or sleeping bag?
The Majority of hostels do not encourage their guests to bring their own linen or sleeping bags. If the hostels issue provide clean linen and often blankets free of charge to the guests, although some do charge for this particular service, though it's not very expensive. Basically, the best way is to check the hostel's microsite before traveling to understand their policies.
What is the difference between a Private and a Shared Room?
