You could easily spend a weeks and not even come close to seeing it all. 3 days Is enough to take in the best sights for the first time visitor to Banff. There however will not be much time to spare. Any time you can try riding a cable car up Sulphur Mountain for the most spectacular view of the Rockies, or you can relax at the bottom in the Banff Hot Springs.
Day 1
The first day can be spent exploring the city of Banff, and the museums and galleries, and just taking the beauty of your new surroundings. Some pleasant short drives, including the Vermilion Lakes Drive and Tunnel Mountain Drive, are easily accessible from town.
Day 2
Drive to Lake Louise where you will have a chance to canoe on the emerald-colored lake and wander through the historic Chateau Lake Louise. Then
Head over to Moraine Lake, which is tucked away inn the Valley of the Ten Peaks. Then head out for a night on the town
Day 3
On day, three explore the Icefields Parkway, a 143-mile-long, 2-lane parkway that snakes its way from Lake Louse to Jasper. Attractions are powerfully rugged mountain scenery, glaciers, waterfalls and icefalls, and wildlife. On the other hand, try visit the Upper Hot Springs, the Sulphur Mountain Gondola, or the Cave and Basin National Historic Site.
