Queen City
Welcome to Toronto. The first day can b a relaxing day or one filled with the sights and sounds of Toronto. The best place to start is at the top, you cannot miss it. The CN Tower is the tallest structure in the world so take the elevator to the towers indoor and outdoor observation decks, for the best view of the city. The most famous structures in Toronto are all in centralized area. Check out the New and Old city hall they are surrounded by skyscrapers. Heading west will take you to SkyDome, the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Argonauts play here. (Check to see if a tour is available.) They night is yours.
Wake up time to explore. First, go to the Harbourfront Centre, the area shopping and the city's lakefront cultural and recreational center. Next grab the streetcar running along the center of Queen's Quay (make sure the sign in front says Union) will take you back uptown to the Union subway station. From here there are a couple of choices, exploring the original Chinatown, or catch a tour to Niagara Falls. If you stay in town Chinatown is near Spadina Avenue/Dundas Street intersection.
Head to the nearby Royal Ontario Museum, at Bloor Street and Queen's Park. The, museum is worth looking around for a couple of hours. Next shopping near Bloor Street West, said to be Toronto's 5th Avenue, between Yonge Street and Avenue Road is good fun. Next head to The docks at the base of Bay Street and Queen's Quay, and take the ferry to the Toronto Islands and take a quick look around and the head back to the city for a night on the town.
