Bandages: These come in all shapes and sizes and are useful for small injuries. Never leave home without them.
Water purifying filter: If you are going to need to clean a substantial amounts of water for the duration, then get one.
Make sure it will fit the type of water faucet used where you will be heading.
Ear drops: important for when you get infections in your ear from the ocean or dirty water.
Pills and tablets: these are important for when you get sick, but remember not to have them in your backpack when crossing at the border.
It can be strange for them seeing a pack with all sorts of strange pills. Keep them in an appropriate container.
Water purifying tablets: These are a must no matter where you go; also these are the ideal gift for those places with poor water treatment.
Nonetheless, these particular tablets will come in handy in developed nations as well.
Vitamin pills: when you are traveling you sometimes forget about giving the right nutrition to the body.
Motion sickness tablets: very nice for immediate relief.
Fever tablets: There a lot of them to choose from; just use the ones best suitable for you.
