The vast majority of people, who travel into Los Angeles, do so by plane, which means they will be entering L.A. via LAX (Los Angeles International Airport).

Shuttles
Super-Shuttle:1-800-blue-van or www.supershuttle.com offers regularly scheduled minivans from LAX to any location in the city. The set fare can range from about $15 to $35 per person; it all kind of depends on your destination.
Now if for some reason you are actually going to be traveling with three or more your friends, then it may be a bit wiser, as well as cheaper to take a Taxi, otherwise, it will be better to just take the Shuttle. You do not need to make a reservation to catch a shuttle and ride it to the city, but upon return to the airport, they require you and all travelers to book a shuttle.
